Data Web Recall may process

Depending on the browsers and features you choose, the Web Recall Mac app may process:

• browser bookmarks and their folder structure;
• browsing history that you choose to enable;
• search information such as page titles, URLs, and visit times;
• the local index used by Quick Find;
• limited page body text or summaries that you allow Web Recall to capture;
• organization drafts, review results, and recovery records;
• Browser Connection’s local connection identity, public key, settings, and recovery journal; and
• subscription credentials, usage allowance status, and necessary operational state.

Web Recall does not necessarily process every category above for every user.

Local processing and storage

Bookmark and browsing-memory indexes, page content memory, Quick Find search data, organization drafts, recovery records, Browser Connection identity, and local recovery journals are primarily stored on your device.

The app includes controls for clearing the Quick Find index, page content memory, or all related local Quick Find data. These controls do not change browser bookmarks or browser history unless a separate, reviewed bookmark operation is applied.

AI services and Web Recall Gateway

Smart features for bookmark organization and Quick Find may use AI services through Web Recall Gateway. During a request, Web Recall may send the query text you enter, a limited set of candidate page titles and URLs, bookmark context, and limited page-content evidence needed to answer the request.

These requests are not intended to upload your entire browsing database or your entire page-content library. The current production service may use DeepSeek. Third-party AI providers process submitted information under their own terms and practices.

Web Recall Gateway may retain transaction and operational records reasonably needed for subscription validation, allowance control, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and cost accounting. Those records are kept only for the period reasonably needed for those purposes. We do not state a fixed retention period for all such records.

Web Recall Browser Connection extension

This section applies specifically to the Web Recall Browser Connection browser extension, not to every feature of the Web Recall Mac app.

The extension requests only the browser permissions needed to connect to the Mac app and perform bookmark operations. It communicates with Web Recall on the same Mac through a loopback address such as 127.0.0.1.

The extension itself does not read browsing history, open tabs, webpage contents, or passwords. It does not send bookmark contents directly to DreamWorkshop servers. Bookmark changes pass through the app’s review and apply flow.

The extension uses bookmark data only for the connection, review, organization, and recovery features you request. Extension data is not sold or used for advertising.

The extension stores locally its connection identity, public key, necessary settings, and the minimum recovery journal needed to reconnect or recover an interrupted bookmark operation. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Bookmark organization, review, and recovery

Web Recall can analyze bookmarks and prepare an organization draft. You can review and edit the result before the app applies changes. The app keeps local records used by its history and recovery features.

Recovery is designed for Web Recall operations. It cannot guarantee recovery from every external edit, browser failure, synchronization event, or manual change outside Web Recall.

Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for the Mac app are handled through Apple’s App Store systems. You can manage a subscription through Apple’s subscription management page.

Web Recall may apply reasonable usage allowances to smart features based on subscription status and service cost. Current prices, trial eligibility, and available allowances are shown in the App Store and in the app.

Your choices and deletion

You can clear local indexes and page content memory using the app’s Storage & Privacy controls. Uninstalling Browser Connection removes data stored by the extension itself, except information that the browser or operating system keeps through synchronization or other system features.

For server-side questions or data requests, email [email protected]. Whether a server record can be deleted depends on its purpose, Apple transaction requirements, security needs, and applicable law. A request does not remove information retained independently by Apple or an AI provider.
